At what time are the arrivals? The departures?

We are welcoming you from 4:30pm.

You have until 11am to leave the gites.

If you arrive before or leave after, you will be able to store your luggage in the luggage storage.


How can I come to Casa Champgil from the train station, bus station or airport?

From the Aulnat airport

Public transports: 35minutes by the bus 20 to Gerzat Champfleuri. Stop at Musée d'Art Roger Quilliot station, then walk to the Musée d'Art Roger Quilliot tramway station towards La Pardieu Gare to Gaillard station. Going to the gites will be a 4 min walk then. 


From the train station

Public transports: 20 minutes by the B bus towards Royal Place Allard to la Maison de la Culture. Walk to the Maison de la Culture tramway station towards Les Vergnes to Gaillard station. Going to the gites will be a 4 min walk then.

10 minutes by bus B towards Royal Place Allard to Jaude Station. Going to the gites will be a 6 min walk then. 


From the bus station

By feet: 15 min

Public transport: 16 min

Walk to the Maison de la Culture tramway station towards Les Vergnes to Gaillard station. Going to the gites will be a 4 min walk then. 


Is there a parking spot for my vehicle?

No, there isn't. There are a lot of pay and display parkings around.

What are the public transports closest to the gite?

Tramway: line A, Gaillard station

Bus: lines 5, 32 and BEN


How far form the city centre is the gite?

Casa Champgil is located in Clermont-Ferrand city-centre. You will need only 8 minutes by feet to get to the Cathedral. 


Will there be someone to open or welcome me if I arrive late or in the middle of the night?

No, there won't. Key boxes will be at your disposal and our team is available to find with you the most suitable solution.


Where is the entrance? 

23 rue des Vieillards.


How and where do I book? Is it more advantageous on your website?

Yes, it is. Our website offers you the best prices on the internet and our cancellation or modification terms are more flexible than on Booking.


How can I change or cancel my booking? Do I get a refund?

There are two prices:

Flexible Price: can be cancelled and refund 24h before your arrival

Not refundable Price: NO modification/cancellation 

If you have booked on Booking or any other associated websites, their terms apply.


What happens if I do not come on the day of my booking?

The entirety of your stay will be canceled, whatever the duration, and charged for.

If you want to arrive later than the day you booked, you will have to make a new booking, according to the rooms available. 

 

Will I have to pay the tourist tax?

Yes, you will. The tourist tax are additional to the original price. It is 0,70€ per night and per person.

Children under 18 don't pay the tourist tax.


Do I need a credit card for a reservation?

Yes, you do. A valid credit card will be asked for to make a reservation.


Do I need any identity cards?

Yes, you do. A valid ID is mendatory and will be asked to prove your identity (ID, passport, visa).


What payment methods do you accept?

Credit card (Visa/Mastercard), cash, travel vouchers ANCV. Checks are not accepted.


Can I extend my staying?

Yes, you can, according to the rooms available.


I am under 18, can I book a room?

We do not accept bookings from people ender 16 years old travelling by themselves.

People from 16 to 18 years old must come with a written and signed authorization from their parents and the copy of the signatory parent's ID.

Minors under 16 staying with their parents are only authorized in privatized dormitories or bedrooms. 


How do staying in a bedroom work? Are bed sheets provided?  

Yes, they are. Your bed will entirely be made at your arrival.


Do you provide towels?

For dormitories, towels are optional (3,50€ per person and per stay).

Towels are included for bedrooms. 


Are dormitories mix?

Yes, but you can address us a specific demand.


Are there private bedrooms?

Yes, we offer 3 very confortable double bedrooms.


How do sanitaries work? Where are they?

Several shared bathrooms and toilets are dispatched in the whole building. They all are mix.

Double bedrooms have private bathrooms and toilets. 


Can I ask for a particular bed in a dormitory?

No, a bed will be assigned to you when you book.


Can I change bed during my staying?

No.


Is there AC in the accommodation?

Our gites do not have AC. Our bedrooms and dormitories have fans.


How is the staying? Can I leave my room after 11AM the day of my departure?

Yes you can add the Late Departure option for 5€ and enjoy your room until 1AM the day of your departure.


Can I leave my luggage before my check-in and after my check out?

Yes, you can leave your belongings from 9AM to 6PM in our secured luggage storage.


Is there a maximum duration for a staying?

No.


Are there rules and regulations? Where can I consult them?

Yes, the rules and regulations are available in our general condition of sales.


Can I invite people who do not sleep at the gites ?

Access to the bedrooms is forbidden to people who do not have a booking.


We are a small group of friends. Can we be in the same dormitory?

Yes, if you have made a common reservation.

If you made several reservations, you can contact the reception to regroup your reservations inside one dormitory if possible.


Do you offer services to children and babies?

Yes, a baby bed can be add as an option for 10€ per staying. Thank you for calling the reception to book one. 


Can I come with my pet?

No, except if it is a guide dog for disabled individuals. 


What happens if I lose my key?

A 5€ penalty will be debited from your credit card.


I forgot some personal effects at the gites... What can I do?

Let us know by email or phone call. Thank you for describing the forgotten object, the date, hour and the name of your room. We will be able to send back your belongings, at your expense.


What are the services offered at the gites?

Do you propose a touristic map of the city? Good addresses?

Yes a map of the city and a notebook full of our best addresses will be at your disposal.


Is there an outside?

Yes, the gites have a 70m2 green patio.


Is there a luggage storage? 

We have a free secured luggage storage open from 9AM to 6PM.


Do you propose travel kits at the reception?

Yes, adaptors, earplugs, toothbrushes...


How do I eat at the gites?

Do you propose breakfast?

Yes, we propose an excellent buffet for 15€. It is served from 7 to 10AM.


Is there a common kitchen to cook food? Can I bring my groceries and stock them somewhere?

Yes, we have a small kitchen? A fridge and a microwave are at your disposal.


Can I bring alcohol from outside the gites?

No, it is forbidden to bring alcohol inside the gites. 


How are the gites secured?

Will there be someone if I arrive late or in the middle of the might?

No, but a key box will be at your disposal. We will be available to answer your questions by phone from 9AM to 6PM.


Is there a curfew? Can I come in at whatever hour?

There is no curfew. Once you've checked in, you will be able to enter and leave the building as you please. However, please do respect the tranquility of the other visitors. 


How can I secure my personal belongings?

In the dormitories, there individual lockers. You can bring your padlock or buy one at the reception for 6€.


Do you propose padlocks?

Yes, you can buy one at a good quality at reception for 6€.


To organise a group trip?

A group is composed of at least 8 people. You can contact us from Monday to Friday, from 9AM to 12AM. and from 2PM to 5PM.
